Walking on the National Trust land in Bathwick Hill at the weekend I was appalled at the amount of dog mess there.

It seems that dog owners seem to think that because it is not pavement it is ok to leave it there rather than pick it and take it away.

As this open space borders an urban area it seems to be a popular area for the large number of local dogs to be taken for a walk - end result ? - dog poo here, there and everywhere.

It's not onlu unpleasant but a health hazard, particulalrly to children.

What should have been a pleasant walk turned into a disgust-filled retreat on tiptoes, with eyes downwards scanning for all the mess and no chance of striding along and enjoying the view.

Dog owners please pull your socks up and pick it up!!!
